This vacuum is a workhorse. I had the model without the headlight for the last 25 years. I'm sure the motor would have lasted another 25, but the on/off foot switch started to act up, so I purchased this one. There is a small round belt that runs the roller brush. Buy a few extra of those and plan on replacing it about twice a year when it wears out or breaks. That is not a design flaw, just regular maintenance. The ad said the vacuum came with free bags, but the amazon affiliate sent the wrong bags. I never called to complain (not worth the effort IMO) but about a month later the company discovered their mistake and mailed the correct bags with an apology letter. I don't normally write reviews but I thought that extra effort on their part should be rewarded. A company that admits and corrects it's mistakes is a keeper.
