I researched this product prior to buying it because I wanted something that I could use on hardwood floors only. When I researched best vac for wood floors and removal of pet hair this is what I discovered. As far as it being made of plastic etc...look it's less than a $100 what did you expect? It's not going to be a Dyson!Conclusion...for wood floor care it is SUPER! Great suction...picks up both cat and dog hair! Can easily detach long wand to shorter one to clean chair seats, window sills etc... I love that the hose attachment is long because I don't have to break my back using it and it's very lightweight. Canister moves easily across floors also.
If you are looking for a "full" vac for carpeting I would think you'd be looking elsewhere but for hardwood floors it's AWESOME!
