I bought my first shop vac about 3 years ago. After using it, I couldn't believe I waited so long to get one. That first shop vac was a 14 gallon Ridgid. There was nothing it couldn't handle. It had one drawback... Portability. It was a pain lugging it up and down stairs, much less using it on stairs. When I recently did some work on the furnace in the attic, I wanted to clean it up some. The 14 gallon shop vac was not going to make into the attic. That is where my idea came for this little thing. It was perfect. Light weight and easy to carry, I used to clean the furnace, the return register, the stairs and everything else in sight.

I love this little thing, and I think every house needs a shop vac! With a quick search, you can probably find it cheaper than Amazon. I would have liked a longer courd and a few more attachments. Fortunately there are a ton of accessories available at HD along with the filters.
