The American Standard Champion PRO does an amazing job at sending everything in the bowl on it's way to the sewer. Their advertisement shows it flushing a bucket of golf balls - I suspect this is *not* true of the California version, which allows only 1.28 gallons per flush. With 20 percent less water than the 1.6 GpF models, it obviously can't defy the laws of physics. Nevertheless, that 1.28 gallons comes rushing down a 4-inch inlet, so I've only managed to stop it up one time since it was installed a few months ago. I do have two problems though that everyone should consider: 1) while the "PRO" model gets you better cleaning of the bowl than the regular model you can get at Home Depot, this American Standard Champion PRO still does not do as good a job as a Toto Drake (the other brand I have in other bathrooms). I.E., without being too graphic, if there is something on the edges of the bowl (below the regular water line), it might take a second flush (or the swish of a toilet bowl brush) to get things back to a gleaming bright & clean state. The Toto on the other hand is pretty amazing in this regard. My second issue with this American Standard toilet is that it occasionally runs water for a second or two (I hear it a couple times a day). I.E., long after anyone has been in the bathroom, the tank will decide to turn on the water for about 2 seconds. I have checked for leaks, which this seems like it must be, but I can't find a thing. My only explanation (other than a slight leak on the flapper valve in the tank) would be that we use untreated hard water and I suppose the valve might have some grit in it. I suggest this because I have not heard it run by itself for several days now, and it did not do it in the first month after installation. One last word of caution - my first order for this American Standard toilet arrive with the bowl being shattered in many many dozens of pieces. The driver *HAD* to have heard the sound of tinkling porcelain and just decided to let me deal with the problem since the instant I moved the box even just a few inches, I heard the porcelain sound. And, quite frankly, Amazon handled this problem poorly, as they ran out of stock on the elongated bowl version of this toilet and would not find out from their suppliers when it would be back in stock. Since the toilet I had in my house needed replacing desperately, and I was unwilling to pay the much higher price elsewhere, I ended up ordering this round bowl version. And sure enough, about 3 weeks later, the elongated version came back in stock. I was quite unhappy about all this, and worse yet, after emailing and calling them several times, they did not call me back at a time when I was home (I have to be fair and say that they did leave me two messages, but each time I returned their call, there was no mechanism for me to actually talk to the person that left me the message (or they were simply unavailable). I was EXTREMELY disappointed with Amazon. And, they also botched up the return - I had to deal with setting up the inspection and return shipment since Amazon didn't respond to my emails asking how to handle the situation. I received a $20 credit for my troubles, but this is not what I wanted - I just wanted to know when the toilet would be in stock again. I find it beyond comprehension that Amazon has no way to contact suppliers to find out when something will be available - even just an estimate.
