Wall Mount Stainless Steel Garage Vac Review

I searched all over the internet to find reviews on the Shop Vac stainless steel wall mount vacuum and came up empty, so I will write my own review after having purchased one through Amazon. I have a 4.5hp all plastic wall mount Shop Vac hanging in my garage that I purchased from Lowe's Hardware a few years ago. It did a good job cleaning my workbench, but never had enough suction at the end of an 18' hose to clean the inside of our vehicles. I recently purchased a Bissell Garage Pro to replace it. Unfortunately, the Bissell was too large to fit in the same location, so I had to return it. I then purchased this 2hp 2-stage stainless steel Shop Vac. It's a bit pricey, but advertised as a commercial quality product, so I ordered it. Unfortunately, it doesn't live up to it's billing. I tested it side-by-side to my old 4.5hp Shop Vac and the suction was the same, but since the hose length is 7' longer (25') I have to assume it's a stronger vacuum. Where the hose attaches to the canister, the connector is a different size, so I wasn't able to connect my old hose to the new vac. Unfortunaely, this new Shop Vac does not have near the suction of the Bissell that I just returned (and the Bissell comes with a crush-proof hose 7' longer (32') hose than the new Shop Vac!). The Bissell attachments are also much hiqher quality (heavier plastic supported with steel) than what comes with the Shop Vac (cheap plastic; in fact the exact same attachments that came with my cheap 4.5hp vac I bought 3 years ago). Plus the Bissell includes many features including a blower port that is not included with the Shop Vac. Comparing the Commercial Shop Vac to the Bissel, you would assume the Bissell was the commercial quality vacuum, not the Shop Vac. I will say this about the new Shop Vac: it is considerably quieter than both the Bissell (which includes a muffler) and the 4.5hp single phase Shop Vac that I'm replacing. Another plus for the Shop Vac is it's narrower by a couple of inches than the Bissell, so it will fit in a tighter space. Also, the Shop Vac is shiny stainless steel, rather than satin as depicted by the photos. But hands down, the Bissell Garage Pro is a solid product compared to the 2hp 2-Stage stainless steel wall-mount Shop Vac. Because of space limitations, I have stick with the Shop Vac, but I would much prefer having the Bissell hanging in garage. If space is not a consideration, then you will be much happier with the Bissell. The Bissell is considerably less expensive as well.
