This hydrometer worked extremely well with accurately proofing rums, whiskeys, and beers. Unfortunately, I bought it to proof the chello products that I make. Apparently this hydrometer doesn't proof chello products very well, as every time it read a negative proof. My guess would be that our products are too viscous for this hydrometer to be effective.

Regardless, it still worked excellently for rums, whiskeys, and beers, which is what it's advertised to work with.
