I used to use the 32oz verion of this as handsoap, since I was allergic to all other soaps. However, sometime over the past year they changed the formula (when they subtly change the label on the 32 oz version to say "Natural Dish wash liquid" instead of "dishwash liquid"). I'm allergic to the new formula so I contacted the company asking if there was any way I could get the old formula. They assured me that while the 32 oz version had a new formula, the gallon version, still was only produced with the old formula. So I ordered a gallon from another vendor-- paying a rather exorbitant shipping fee that cost almost as much as the product itself.

I could tell as soon as I smelled the gallon that they had misinformed me. It smelled like the new formula (more orange than grapefruit) and sure enough I was allergic to it. I used some of the last amounts of the old formula I have left just to verify I'm still not allergic to the original formula-- only the new one which I now own a gallon of. So this review is more a reflection on the company's customer service and for others who had the same allergy problems as me with the formula switch. I've never used this to wash dishes, but original product made a great hand/body soap for me for a while.
