I've used these slides now for both smears and with covers. They work great. The slides are separated in the packaging by slips of paper so they handle pretty well. The covers are all stacked together and take a bit of fiddling to peel one off the stack. They are pretty well finished, though. You can see the interference fringes between the covers if you have the right light.

The slides and covers are clean enough out of the box for most uses. I cleaned them for some more detailed work.

These are very well formed and strong. My set came with red caps that fit very snugly on each test tube.

I played around with one by filling it with water and squeezing it to see if it would leak. Let's just say that i'm not near strong enough to make it leak. At all.

I filled it as full as I could with water and put it through a dozen freezing/thawing cycles and saw no deterioration in performance.

My intended use for these are to hold small items such as Advil/Tylenol/Excedrin, fire tinder, etc for stashing in my back pack.

These are more than worth the price and their use is limited only by imagination.

Mastech HY3005F-3Triple Linear DC Power Supply, 30V, 5A Review

Seller was great, the supply arrived quickly and in perfect working condition (2nd day Amazon Prime).

Not obvious (to me) was that the two adjustable outputs can be connected in series, in parallel, or independently via front panel switches. In series or parallel connection the combined output is controlled by the master output's controls. In parallel mode the load current is the sum of the values indicated by the two output's ammeters - requires some quick addition, and is quite manageable.

This supply would have achieved a 5-star rating if it made full rated current in parallel mode and had fine adjust knobs for voltage and current conrols. However, the supply did make 9.5 amps in parallel mode, and the voltage and current control pots are very smooth and with a little practice can be set to the 0.1 amp or volt resolution of the front panel meters.

I have been using this supply to validate some prototype remote ammeters. To do that, I first had to characterize the supply against a 3.5 digit DMM and a set of precision load resistors. Load regulation and ripple were well within spec. Voltage was stable over time, as was current in constant current operation. The LED front panel meters agreed exactly with the DMM and were bright and easy to read at all angles. The fixed 5V output remained within a few millivolts of 5.00 volts over the 1A load current range I used. The binding posts were properly dimensioned and fit the bannana plugs well. (You might think you could take all these things for granted, but that has not been my experience with these foreign-made instruments.)

Overall, a pleasure to use and worth the price.

Unfortunately, the uniformity isn't really there from sheet-to-sheet. Flipping to the back side of the page or rotating, you cannot use these to span from one page to another; this really becomes apparent when attempting to digitize (scan your drawings in) and get them to line up in GIMP/Photoshop/Pixelmator.

If you're going to use a straight-edge and a sharpened pencil on a single page, the paper is fully functional.
